This informative workshop teaches performing arts and entertainment professionals how to describe your creative work in an impactful way, develop language that conveys their artistic ideas, and details what types of written materials needed to prepare for grant opportunities.
Join us for a thoughtful and engaging presentation that takes the independent artist through a step by step process developed specifically to help you explain and write about your conceptual ideas and artistic process. You will be led by The Actors Fund’s own Deputy Director of Advancement, Susan Latham.

Susan Latham is the Deputy Director of Advancement at The Actors Fund, a national human services organization for performing arts and entertainment professionals, where she oversees institutional and individual fundraising. She began her career in New York City’s downtown performing arts scene. As company manager for composer and multi-disciplinary artist Meredith Monk she toured nationally and internationally for 5 years, supervising touring companies and managing productions at major festivals and venues throughout the US and Europe.
